Creating Your 2018 Vision Board

Happy New Year! The New Year often brings with it the desire to make positive changes in one’s life. It represents new beginnings and is a time to free oneself of past mistakes.   It is a time of resolution and incentive, when we can reflect and create changes in our lives to attempt to live a fuller, happier and healthier life. This can be done by making resolutions and/or setting goals.

I sometimes feel that making resolutions brings more of a sense of dread rather than inspiration and excitement. If you feel this way about making “resolutions” for the new year, then I invite you to join me in creating a new tradition. Over the last couple years, rather then making resolutions, I instead chose a “word of the year” to focus on. Last year my word was simplicity. This year I’ve chosen the word faith. This special word is one that you can use in all areas of your life. Chose one that will support you the most in the upcoming year, one that leaves you feeling excited and inspired. Another fun tradition you can start instead of going the traditional resolution route, is to create a vision board. I will be making a vision board this week and hopefully getting my little ones to join me. Three years ago my oldest daughter made a vision board that included a toilet for successful potty training, a tooth brush for cleaning her teeth and ice cream, because she always wants ice cream. I’ll be sharing our vision board activity and creations on my Insta Story on Instagram if you’d like to learn more. If you have any questions about any of these ideas please feel free to email anytime.
Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year!

“ New Year’s Day. A fresh start. A new chapter in life waiting to be written. New questions to be asked, embraced, and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in this transformative year of delight and self-discovery. Today carve out a quiet interlude for yourself in which to dream, pen in hand. Only dreams give birth to change.”
