093: Mindfulness in Birth and Parenthood with Anuka Gazara-Anthony

Anuka Gazara-Anthony is an accredited Mongan Method Hypnobirthing teacher currently based in Bethesda, Maryland. She was inspired to leave her career and train as a Hypnobirthing Practioner after having her daughter in 2013.

Anuka’s first pregnancy and delivery were extremely difficult, she had many complications and was unprepared for her delivery. This led to many complications to her body after birth. She was determined to learn a new approach that could help her understand her body better during pregnancy and delivery. Anuka was determined to have a peaceful and calm birth with her second child. Hypnobirthing has changed her life in so many ways, but more importantly, it empowered her with the tools and techniques she needed to have a calm and confident birth – the way she wanted!

Anuka trained in Transpersonal Hypnotherapy through the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists. She also has a postgraduate diploma in business from Oxford University. Her passion is to promote meditation, mindfulness programs, holistic practices, hypnotherapy, and hypnobirthing services which encourage best practices of self-care.
